The best Caribbean food joint in this area.
Beef patties are executed with care and lots of flavor.
Vegetable patties are spicy and delicious.
Chicken patties are to die for.
Oxtail is some of the best I've had.
I come from The greater tristate area of NYC.
THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT.
Love you guys.

But hol on, dis place deh deh fi years, and not one review?
This place is not set up for tourists, it is set up for Caribbeans. Our familiar dishes aren't explained on an expansive menu chronicling the provenance and supply chain.
Ask questions, but don't hold up the line, PLEASE.
Expect good service and good food, but this is more of family affair not a corporate experience.
On the grocery side
- fresh mangos (they were from Haiti the day I went, but usually the mangos in a regular store are from Mexico and Latin America. That's the attention of detail)
- White Yam, Yellow Yam, cassava every ting you need for ground provisions
- green plantain, ripe plantain, green banana
- Scotch bonnet peppers
- oxtail and goat in the freezer
- Lots of hot sauces
- Easter bun, round bun, gizzarda, grater cake, peanut drop
- traditional cast aluminum pots
- nuff spices
- dem likkle fine noodles
- traditional health products like Dettol
Probably more if you ask nice.
On the restaurant side
- Jamaican breakfast dishes like fried dumplings, ackee and saltfish, porridge, cow foot soup
- Curry chicken, oxtail, and all the typical Jamaican dishes. I can't speak for all the dishes, but the beef patty, veggie patty, oxtail and curry goat are good.
- Dragon Stout in the cooler along with D&G goodies. There might have been some Nutrament in there as well.
The space has a few tables. Don't be surprised if you see 4 bredda playing some Ludo or a dj ready to lively up the place.
You not really going to find too many places in the area that cater to Caribbeans. Caribbean spots tend to be more flexible than the average. -

The food was amazing and probably the best rice I have had. Only reason I am not giving 5 star is that the lady was extremely rude to my wife. Maybe just a bad day. Will be back and would recommend

Friendly, quaint Mom & Pop Caribbean grocer and tiny restaurant. Simple menu of pre-cooked takeout food that can also be eaten on-site at one of a handful of tiny tables. The entrees are a tour de force of Caribbean classics like Jerked Chicken and Curry Goat. VERY generous portions. The Curry Goat was artfully seasoned and properly cooked to falling-off-the-bone doneness. Be sure to grab some of the homemade Ginger Beer on the way out. I hesitated to write this review. This is an authentic gem of a place and I don't want to share.
